Sunflower Folds   Valensole, Provence, France

Just outside the Provence town of valensole I came across this wonderful field of sunflowers and after looking it over I returned later on in the day when the sun had started to reveal the folds in the hill and some side lighting on the little shelter. It was then I noticed some promising clouds and a race began shoot for optimal shading or wait for the clouds. Happily it was a tie and I probably got the best of both worlds.
