Time To Reflect Loch a Chroisg, Achnasheen, Scotland
A beautiful dead tree at the edge of Loch a Chroisg split in two allegedly by lightning though I suspect that it is more likely due to a series of harsh frosts. The skeletal structure shining and silvery in the directional light of a late afternoon sun causes the tree to stand out very well against the soft caramel browns of heather and autumn foliage. A perfect mirror smooth reflection presents a most satisfying and intriguingly complex backdrop.
