Caramel Ice   Loch A Chroisg, Achnasheen, Scotland

This is actually the sequel to one of my favorite shots Frosted Ginger, the golden light of the setting sun having flickered off the frosted foreground grasses and now concentrating exclusively on the distant trees.  The temperature on that fine winter day remained significantly below zero throughout and although the sun materialised a few times it had no effect on the ephemeral frost what-so-ever.
