The truth is photographers loathe pure unblemished blue skies almost as much as the general public on a day trip out hates drizzle.  Life sometimes deals you photographic lemons so I did my best to squeeze something out of them and by turning up early I managed at least to get a fine mix of red sunlight and chilled blue ice they made a fine cocktail and maybe the mountains make a fine cherry on top.
