Eye In The Sky   Lossiemouth, Moray, Scotland

If you can get yourself right to the very edge of a weather front, in this case marching in from the west then the leading edge of it tends to front onto clear blue sky and be punctuated by gaps in the cloud which let through shafts of sunlight.  These are photographed only if the sun isn't directly visible which would otherwise cause serious flare.  This one produced a gorgeous curtain of light that flickered like a colourless aurora over the sea and reflected off the wet textured red sand beach.
