Golden Fleece Strathfarrar   Strathfarrar, Highlands, Scotland

During the first days of November Strathfarrar is one of the most colourful places in Scotland the wee birch trees which are gently spaced so that all the trees seem to receive equal amounts of light all turn at very much the same time and quite literally glow with colour.  I shot wih a 300mm lens pretty much wide open so that the colourful backdrop fell away into a blurry if colourful oblivion which accentuated the boughs of the tree and the crispness of the golden fleece it was wearing.
