Hobbit Shires   Wastwater, Lake District, England

Whilst Wastwater is attractive with its plunging scree slopes carving into the deep water of this remote lake, I was quite enchanted with the little river behind the inn at the end of the valley with its little pack bridge overhanging greenery and farm walls leading onto the hills complete with dappled shadows.  It looked like being a great place to find a hobbit or two.
