Light Fingered   Kinlochewe, Torridon, Scotland

I adore simple simplicity in a picture and this one could barely be simpler.  It is actually a re-hash of an earlier image which I thought could be resolved into something still simpler commensurate with my initial thoughts when making the shot and but for the lack of a long enough lens this is more akin to the image I had in mind.  These birch trees were ridiculously fragile despite the almost total lack of wind it seemed impossible that they could support themselves let alone withstand the winter weather that whistles through.  I love the way the light fingers of the tree appear to caress the pure white bulk of Beinn Eighe beyond.
