Lost Icon   Rannoch Moor, Glencoe, Scotland

Alas the poor wee tree is no more and so an icon is lost to us forever.  Some will be glad and gleefully bellow, "oh not that damned tree again".  Those same folk are probably forlornly searching Rannoch moor for something remotely approaching it's compositional perfection.  I for one will miss it, succumbing as it did to the Spring gales that filled its small canopy of leaves and hence the key to its destruction.  This was the last occasion that I shot it and one of my happiest memories of it, sugar coated in frost, rime and snow.
