Native Woodland Strathfarrar   Strathfarrar, Highlands, Scotland

The native woodland of Scotland includes many such species of tree but the primary ones are the Scots Pine with their twisted and tortured limbs and green canopy and the ever present and very delicate birch which are loaded with gold confetti in Autumn.  Strathfarrar has some of the very finest examples and it looked even more beguiling with fine misty rain and sparkling sunlight illuminating this river side setting.
