Only The Lonely   Loch a Chroisg, Achnasheen, Scotland

Freezing Loch a Chroisg always seems to be colder than just about anywhere else as mist forms over the loch and then develops into freezing fog which condenses out of the air and settles inches thick over every tree, branch, twig and blade of grass.  A temperature of minus 23 degrees celcius did a fair job of numbing my fingers to the point where I suffered frost bite in my finger tips.  I eventually chose this family of trees to provide a high key subject they convincingly portray the ridiculously low temperatures.
