Sandstone Shelf   Cummingston, Moray, Scotland

A visit to the sea caves at Cummingston may as well be done on an overcast day as you will get little in the way of sunlight in your shots and in any case the contrast is already ridiculously high.  Make sure your visit coincides with a good low tide as you truly only have an hour before the need to vacate becomes apparent.  Inside the caves it is a world of colourful treasures with geological features that are breathtaking not just in their sculpted shapes but also in their over the top high performance colour palette.
