Stac Pollaidh Viewpoint   Stac Pollaidh, Inverpolly, Scotland

Most folk are able to scale this tiny hill in less than an hour but if you see Stac Pollaidh from the ground it appears to be an almost unclimbable volcano with vertical ramparts that could only possibly be tackled by experts.  I climbed it in the morning with my brother who had never been up any peaks before and we were treated to a glorious view across to Cul Mor.  The foreground red earth path juxtaposes nicely with the distant greenery and the strong sidelighting brings and cubic foreground rock combine to bring both interest and contrast to an otherwise flatly lit mountain scenic.
