The Throne Room   Mer De Glace, Chamonix, France

Underneath the Mer de Glace in the Mont Blanc Massif are the quite stunning ice caverns albeit artificially tunnelled out by machine the glorious velvet blues and shine of compressed ice still looks amazing.  For tourism purposes it appears somebody has run amok with a chainsaw and fashioned out a few items from the ice these two thrones were very popular with the kids and Ben duly posed in one of them with a wee Australian lass perched upon the other.  Just as well they had foam padding.
