Tomato Dawn Gollanfield   Gollanfield, Highlands, Scotland

It wasn't quite what I had hoped for but the best laid plans some times go awry then serendipity takes over and disappointment metamorphoses into elation.  That sort of happened here, my intention was to capture a full moonset behind the trees with the dawning light infusing the fields with a soft pink light.  The moon alas fell into a bank of mist but the sun played it's part and duly rose as a tangerine ball of fire and cast its tomato red light onto the pale winter stubble turning it scarlet.  Even the tree trunks are blood red.
