Vacant Table   Crask Inn, Sutherland, Scotland

Unsurprisingly the Crask Inn was shut but outside it was a total winter wonderland with gorgeous late afternoon sunshine falling on the outdoor dining table covered in unblemished snow 3 inches or so deep and the overhanging trees retaining there liberal coating in the breathlessly still frozen conditions blue with cold courtesy of the reflected sky in open shade, the mix of hues being a visual delight.
