Workshops
I have always been a great advocate of sharing knowledge and in the fledgling stages of my own photography I was lucky enough to have a few mentors of my own, who helped guide me to take better pictures. Whilst my learning curve is far from over I can say with a fair degree of certainty that I am now in a position to reciprocate and pass on some of my own experience.
I try my very best to provide help and assistance to any photographers that ask for it. However, that help and assistance has been necessarily limited to advice, usually via a telephone or by email. Unfortunately there is no substitute for practical assistance in the field which hugely accelerates the learning experience.
Now as a full time professional I have the opportunity to formalise this help into organised programs of workshops and masterclasses, incorporating passionate and expert tuition at some of the finest locations Scotland has to offer. It is my backyard, I know it intimately and each course has been timed to coincide with the location's seasonal peak.
My aim is to make a tangible improvement to your own photography, and what better way is there to do that, than by working with small groups of like minded enthusiasts, in an environment that courts maximum inspiration. All levels are catered for from beginner to aspiring professional, with a mixture of budgets and standards of course accommodation. I hope nobody would feel excluded on the grounds of available funds, for this is not an elitest hobby, it is for the enjoyment and fulfillment of all. Read the testimonials here.
For those that have attended either a full Transient Light course or a 1-2-1 day and would like to share their images or you are looking for constructive feedback please request an invitation to join from David Breen at the Transient Light Flickr Group.
For more information on the Scottish courses request a brochure to be sent to you or read the brochure.pdf (Please allow time for download 5MB).
One-To-One Tuition:
In addition to the group workshops and masterclasses I regularly run 1-2-1 tuition sessions lasting from 1 to 7 days. More details on these can be found HERE.
