Ben 4

Cofton Park, Birmingham, England

With the earlier bottleneck navigated Ben was able to regain some of the ground he lost but already the field was widely split with the lead runners 200m further in front.  He managed to overtake quite a few runners, but the course was very tough going, both muddy and hilly and a heavy schedule including the Scottish Secondary Schools Chamionships two days earlier, definitely took its toll on him.  The experience of running in such a large field was greatly enjoyed by him though he was as jumpy as a cat on a hot tin roof in the starting pens.
