Ben finishing off the final event in the 2015/16 winter cross country series at a very sunny Blairgownie Park near Donside, Aberdeen. The under 15 girls, under 13 girls and under 13 boys are lumped together in the same race even though they are duly separated out into their peer groups at the end. Ben was probably close to peak condition in this race, full of confidence from his run at the Scottish Nationals at Falkirk, he breezed through the line in first place in stark contrast to his first round performance at Knockburn Loch. Ben was under strict instruction to save himself for the Scottish Secondary Cross Country Schools champs at Irvine and the Birmingham Cross Challenge event a couple of days after that.
