Chilled Leopard

Chobe, Botswana, Africa

Is this really one of the so called "Big Five", one of the most awesome killing predators on planet Earth? I imagine he must really put the fear of God into those timid little springbok and hapless impala laying prostrate across the branch of an old camel thorn tree legs akimbo purring like a giant tabby cat. Highly amusing though it was this was my first ever sighting of a leopard and for it to happen in such superb end of evening light was a sheer privilege and joy. A serious contender I think for what must be the most self assured and laid back leopard in Africa.
