Frosted Ginger Glen Torridon
Glen Torridon, Ross Shire, Scotland
I very much doubt I would have remained dry getting out to this river viewpoint in Glen Torridon looking towards Loch Coulin as it was clearly very boggy beneath a very thick crust of hoar frost and ice on this fine winter morning. Soft red light painted the flanks of the mountain in the background whilst the Torridon river created a blue snaking path through the white frosted heather and deer grass passing between riverside Scots Pine just protruding high enough to feel the kiss of weak orange sunrise light on their canopies.
