Frosted Torridon Pines
Glen Torridon, Ross Shire, Scotland
The overwhelming impression I had when I saw this old and rather twisted looking Scots Pine Tree covered in hoar frost was of an elderly gentleman performing a low sweeping bow to his King or Queen I love the comparison with the younger stiff straight backed pines in the background equally frost bound on a very cold winter day. This time with just a little light spilling over the hill top. Photo © copyright by Ian Cameron.
