Layers Castle Girnigoe
Noss Head, Caithness, Scotland
I was just about to pack up for the night as the best of the evening colour in the sky had faded mainly to a sombre grey when it suddenly occurred to me I hadn't taken a single upright format version of the coastal area below Castle Girnigoe and Sinclair. In front of me was a small drop and some pancake ledges of golden lichen encrusted rocks right next to the sea with the castle standing out beyond in near silhouette.
