Mountain Vista Loch Droma

Looking almost directly into a midday sun rarely elicits memorable photographs but snow makes a huge difference providing so much bounced light that despite the overall intensity of light the actual contrast in the scene is pretty well tempered. This flat topped peak with stepped light rolling over the summit grabbed my attention and the scale was nicely emphasised by the tiny conifers dotted about the slopes with a softer snow clad heather foreground on the moor near Loch Droma.
