Winter Birch Cube
Droma, Highland, Scotland
At the edge of Loch Droma is a cluster of some remarkably pristine looking white skinned birch trees with clumps of dead dry grass below on this occasion the sky overhead was blue and the sun bright and hazy which seemed to make the trunks glow. I quite possibly would not have bothered to set up for another shot had I not also noticed that one flank of the birch tree was caked with directional snow spattering courtesy of the previous nights winter winds and that snow which was in shade was stained blue by the laser clear sky reflecting down on it.
